WHY DONT YOU GIVE US YOUR PHONE NUMBER ?

We receive many requests for our phone number, from persons who would like to order by telephone rather than by browsing through our internet catalogs.  Some of them have visual disabilities.  Unfortunately,  if we engage in any telephone service, the price of our products (i.e., the price you would pay) would have to increase dramatically.  Please, if you have a visual disability, then order with the help of a friend, a family member, or of a social worker, directly from our internet catalog.  We apologize, we cannot take any telephone orders and cannot engage in any phone calls or a long correspondence as we are already far behind the schedule.  There are many incoming orders and any additional work here, including phone calls,  would certrainly result in a major price increase of our products, a devastating price increase for persons like you.  In general, disabled and severely sick persons do not have much money and deserve a very special financial consideration, i.e., the low price for our products.  This is our sincere priority.

COULD I DROP IN TO  PICK UP YOUR PRODUCTS ?
Some customers ask if they could also visit our store or our factory. Unfortunately we do not have any store to display our products (the income is too low to pay store staff) and we discourage any attempts to telephone us or to visit us on site because this almost always slows down the production and increases the cost of the garments for the disabled and for the sick. Almost all necessary information can far more easily be obtained from this internet page and our catalogs, and (only) if the answers are not in our catalog, please contact us by e-mail.  acms@acmedi.com.

WHAT IS THE LEG OPENING FOR THE PANTS ?
The leg opening measure is very deceptive because the leg elastics sit often on an angle, for some persons, and then a comparison of the leg opening measure with the leg circumference measures can be misleading.  We have gave up on indicating the size of the leg opening. Even if you give us your leg opening size, all we could do is to compare it to how far the leg elastics stretches when we hold the pant in our hands.  This is not sufficient to garantee your satisfaction with the actual fit on your body, because the leg elastics may be on an angle to the thigh.  Some person may complain that the elastics feel "too tight" and some other that is it "too loose" although both persons may have the same thigh circumference and talk about the same pant, in the same size.  Unfortunately, we certainly could not garantee a got fit for the pants, especially for the leg opening, as this is very subjective judgement.  There are no exchanges and no returns and no refunds possible.  There is a risk similar to the one of buying a meal in a restaurant that you do not know.  You do not know if the meal would be too spicy, or otherwise not to your taste, or if it may contain some additive to which you may have an allergy.   The only way to know if the meals are satisfactory is to actually try them out.  Unfortunately, the meals in restaurants are too expensive, to experiment, for most of us.  Most persons who purchase a pant do it with the awareness that it may not fit: when too tight, they purchase a bigger sizes the next time.  When too loose, they know they would buy a smaller size the next time.  This is the inevitable risk involved  in buying from a catalog. If you could not afford this small risk, then we advize against buying from us.

WHY DONT YOU ACCEPT GARMENTS TO BE EXCHANGED OR GIVE REFUNDS ?
Unfortunately, we cannot offer you any garantee, no exchanges, definitely no refunds, and no returns.  This policy will not change.  There are medical and legal reasons (health hazards) for not exchanging or re-selling underwear handled by customers without supervision.  It would also not be feasible financially to change this policy.  If we include all duties and tasks involved, it takes almost one hour per pant (Susan, Christie, or Olga) to make them.  About 50 % of the sale price (for example, half of the $ 12) goes on taxes to the government, and  to pay for the material waterproof sheeting, etc) to the suppliers, and to pay for the transport of the material, and for the maintenance of the machinery, and for the heating and electrical cost, etc.   So the profit is, at the very best, about $ 6 per hour of the staff time (less than a minimal wage, given the cost of living in this country), and we even do not count the time spend on answering the customers questions ................ .
However, we agree that buying pants from a catalog is certainly frustrating: it saves you on traveling expenses (when traveling to a store), it may provide more privacy, but it can be associated with some errors (for example, the product may be too small and you may need to purchase a larger size the next time). We have to proceed by trial and error to be ultimately successful.

WHAT WILL BE THE DELAY WITH MY ORDER ?
We do not know exactly because it is unpredictable.  The Post Office could be on strike.  Sometimes, parcels are delayed when travelling through the postal system from us to you and we have absolutely no control over the postal workers.  Some problems can occur also here.  Our machinery could break down.  To make your own prediction, please see the colors used in our regular catalog for the headings, when the item is listed. Those listed in blue color can almost always dispatch without delays (see items with number and name in blue color).  Those in red cause delays, but you will eventually receive your order.  Those in purple are usually associated with shorter delays.  As explained in our catalog, some items can be dispatch immediately:  e.g., the Carol diapers (#804) and also Angela pants (#150, #020, #151, #970) and many other pants (such as the following code numbers: 113, 125, 128, 154, 207, 403, 450,  750, 751, 752, 753, 758, 801, 802, 804, 807, 821, 997, 998, almost all of those in Liquidation Pages and Special Pages) are already sewn and in stock and .  There are too many subtypes of Susan, Christie, and Olga pants to have them all ready made in stock, in each color, in each size, in so many different types of vinyl (color, prints) ready made in stock: we sew them only when they are ordered.  They are mailed away as soon as they are finished.  Briefly, the exact delay is unpredictable (potential problems with machinery, or sick staff).
We apologize for these problems and  thank you for your order.
