Unfortunately, the pantyhose squeezes the plastic pants tightly against
the skin, eliminating the usual air space, and the skin may feel unpleasantly
wet from perspiration.
One of the proposed solutions to this discomfort was to use small plastic
garter belts (suspender belts) with stockings that stay below the level
of the plastic pants and diapers. For technical reasons, these belts
would be unusually expensive if made only in a small quantity. There
is not a sufficient interest among our female customers so we have
not manufactured any, as a large investment of time and money would be
needed. Perhaps, one of the reasons is the availability of stocking
with an elasticized top end that stay up on the upper thigh without needing
any garter belt. Nevertheless, these belts (waterproof or not, worn
over diaper pants) are still used by some, perhaps more for esthetic reasons,
